Global Scanning Solutions were engaged by Shell - Philippine Malampaya Phase 3 to assist their team in confirming pipe spool fabrication in order to avoid clash
and ensure first-time fit fit during installation.
Dimensional control ensures spool fabrication can be monitored and dimensions confirmed to be within tolerance and allowing effective retro-fit to be performed in an efficient manner. Global Scanning Solutions was responsible for performing periodic and progressive dimensional surveys continuously through the fabrication process assuring asbuilt dimensions were within the required tolerances. Primary and secondary survey support of interim build accuracy was conducted, providing as-built dimensional reports within 24hrs.
